Earrings, bracelets, necklaces ... I love to make them all. Swarovski crystal beads bring sparkling colors and visual texture to my jewelry designs. Czech Republic glass beads offer rich deep colors, with individual 2-tone Czech beads often possessing unique color shading within the clear glass of the bead. For warm colors, I like to make bracelets from the natural beauty of obsidian and jasper beads.

Indicolite Swarovski 20mm pendant with gold accent earrings.

These are easy to make earrings. No tools needed just slipped your Swarovski and beads onto the 20mm gold filled hoops. Quick to make, great as gifts.

Enjoying the sparkling beauty of Swarovski crystal beads, I was delighted to find a nice color and style selection of 10mm to 28mm Swarovski crystal beads on the firemountaingems.com and eBay websites

The hole of the Swarovski pendant is too small for the gauge of the main part of the hoop. The more slender gauge of the part of the hoop that slides into the hoop fits easily into the hole of the pendant.

How to's for the earrings:

For the earrings, I slide everything onto the hoop, with the Swarovski pendant being the last piece onto the hoop. I found my long jewelry tweezers helpful in holding the hoop as I worked.

With the pendand on the thin, insertion part of the hoop I align the hoop's insertion piece into the hollow hoop wire. Gently push (I use my fingers) to close the hoop.

The Swarovski pendant hangs off the insertion wire that closes the hoop. Because the hole of the crystal pendant is smaller than the hollow wire of the hoop, the pendant stays centered at the bottom of the hoop.

If you need to reopen the hoop do so gently, just enough to pull the insertion wire out of the hollow hoop wire. You do not want to mess up the round circle shape of the hoop.

Earrings material list:
Overall length about 1.5 inches excluding the fishhook earwires
20mm gold filled hoops
6mm gold plated corrugated double cone beads
6mm gold plated corrugated round beads
gold plated fishhook earrings
20mm Indicolite Swarovski crystal pendant

How to's for the necklace:

The overall length of this necklace is 30 inches, so I did not put a clasp on this necklace. BUT for necklaces and bracelets, I always have a somewhat weak point in case my necklace or bracelet gets caught in something. Like a child in my lap grabbing the necklace. For this necklace the weak point are the two 3mm jumprings that attach the pendant part of the main necklace. I rather pick the four beads and pendant up off the floor than chance breaking that long 29inch long figaro chain.

The gold beads and pendant for the necklace and earrings are all the same size, but I did the necklace larger so you see the details of pendant part. If you look to the near right of the necklace you will see a small part of gold plated chain. The is the size chain I slide the pendant and gold bead pieces onto.

My method is to use a 3mm open jumpring to attach this slender chain to the 29 inch figaro chain. The I slide two 6mm round beads onto the slighter chain, the Swarovski pendant and two more 6mm round beads.

I next decide where I want to snip the slender chain and I use a needle and thread through the chain piece before the chain loop that I want to snip off. I use this needle and thread to help me hold onto the slender chain section of this necklace without again and again loosing my grip and spilling beads and pendant off the short chain piece. This threaded loop gives me the ability to snip off the extra part of the slender chain, put a 3mm jumpring on and attached the slender chain to the figaro chain.

Material list for the necklace:
6mm gold plated corrugated round beads
gold plated figaro chain (which I buy in lengths of 42in)
piece of chain to feed through the four round beads and Swarovski pendant
2- 3mm gold plated jumprings
20mm Indicolite Swarovski crystal pendant

The ruler is there to suggest the size chains you want to use. I have found the hole sizes of the pendant to always be smaller than hole size for the 6mm beads, but you need to determine that before purchasing your chains. If you considering to purchase your items through firemountgems you can use their Live Chat to ask them the hole sizes of beads you are buying from them. If you get your supplies from firemountaingems and they have told you wrong holes sizes (like a chain won't fit) you can go through Live Chat, ask them to exchange the chain and also for your shipping costs to be returned to you. I have never had a problem returning an item to Firemountaingems. I also received one of these pendants from Firemountaingems with a slight crack near the hole. They special delivered a replacement pendant to me. I have handled and sold over 10,000 Swarovski crystal beads and only seen two with any type of flaw, both had a tiny chip at the hole area. So if you buy Swarovski crystal beads and see any flaw, you should return it for a refund or exchange.

Tools:
needle and thread
nipper pliers to snip off extra chain
flat head pliers to hold and bend close the two jumprings
