Earrings, bracelets, necklaces ... I love to make them all. Swarovski crystal beads bring sparkling colors and visual texture to my jewelry designs. Czech Republic glass beads offer rich deep colors, with individual 2-tone Czech beads often possessing unique color shading within the clear glass of the bead. For warm colors, I like to make bracelets from the natural beauty of obsidian and jasper beads.

These olive color glass beads have a soft twist to them which nicely catches the light.

The silver plated bell shape bead caps for these earrings came from silver plated dangles such as the ones shown below.

As you can see in the photo, I cut off and discarded the top eyepin of the dangle thereby releasing the silver plated bell shape bead cap from the link chains.

Overall length of these dangle earrings, excluding the ear wire: 1.5 inches.

Material list for each silver plated earring:

1 - 1.5 inch long sterling silver ball ended head pin

1- 12.5mm x 8mm olive color oval shape (with a soft twist) Czech Republic pressed glass bead

1- Silver plated bell shape bead caps

1- 20mm sterling silver soldered close round jump ring. This hoop is 19 gauge, can easily be bend if handled roughly.

2- sterling silver 4mm crimp covers are placed on hoop to accent the bell capped glass bead

1- silver plated earwire

I like to use silver spacer beads as accent color in my designs but getting a spacer bead onto a closed hoop presented a problem. I originally purchased crimp covers for covering crimped beads around bracelet clasp, then I realized I could also use the crimp covers to add the visual of silver spacer beads on the soldered closed Sterling Silver hoops.

The crimp covers I purchased are silver plated and another group are gold plated. I found the other metals in these crimp covers make the crimp covers strong but hard to close. Since then I have purchased a dozen crimp covers in sterling silver and gold filled. I used the sterling silver crimp covers in this design and found these to be a softer metal and quite easier to close.
