Earrings, bracelets, necklaces ... I love to make them all. Swarovski crystal beads bring sparkling colors and visual texture to my jewelry designs. Czech Republic glass beads offer rich deep colors, with individual 2-tone Czech beads often possessing unique color shading within the clear glass of the bead. For warm colors, I like to make bracelets from the natural beauty of obsidian and jasper beads.

These are easy to make earrings. No tools needed. Just slip your Swarovski® pendant onto the 20mm sterling silver hoop. Quick to make, great as gifts.

Enjoying the sparkling beauty of Swarovski® crystals, I was delighted to find a nice color and style selection of 10mm to 18mm Swarovski® crystal heart pendants on the firemountaingems.com and eBay websites.

The hole of this Swarovski® pendant was too small for the gauge of the main part of the hoop. For these earrings, slip the earwire onto the hoop and then the Swarovski® pendant onto the hoop.

The Swarovski® heart pendant hangs off the insertion wire that closes the hoop. Because the hole of the crystal pendant is smaller than the hollow wire of the hoop, the pendant stays centered at the bottom of the hoop. I gently pushed (I used my fingers) to close the hoop.

If you need to reopen the hoop do so gently, just enough to pull the insertion wire out of the hollow hoop wire. Be careful, you do not want to mess up the round circle shape of the hoop.

Overall length of these dangle earrings excluding the earwires: 1.25 inches.

Material list for each earring:

Below shows you the sterling silver 20mm open hoop. Note the small hing (easier to see in the opened hoop at lower part of the photo).
sterling silver 20mm open hoop I find the hinged style closing on these hoops are harder to work with then the style of open hoop where the closing wire just slides back into the hollow hoop wire.
