Earrings, bracelets, necklaces ... I love to make them all. Swarovski crystal beads bring sparkling colors and visual texture to my jewelry designs. Czech Republic glass beads offer rich deep colors, with individual 2-tone Czech beads often possessing unique color shading within the clear glass of the bead. For warm colors, I like to make bracelets from the natural beauty of obsidian and jasper beads.

silver plated dangle earrings with 8mm Padparadscha Swarovski crystal beads Silver plated dangle earrings with 8mm Padparadscha Swarovski crystal beads using sterling silver bead caps and silver color button style earrings.

The numerous faceted sides of the 8mm Padparadscha Swarovski® crystal bead nicely catches the light adding a touch of sparkle. This earring design uses two Sterling silver 10mm open wire Bali bead caps for each of the Swarovski® crystal bead.

The silver plated bell shape bead caps and link chain for these earrings came from silver plated dangles such as the similar silver plated dangles shown below.

Silver plated bell shaped capped dangles

As you can see in the photo, I cut off and discarded the top eyepin of the dangle thereby releasing the silver plated bell shape bead cap from the link chains.

Overall length of these dangle earrings, excluding the ear wire: 2.25 inches.

Material list for each silver plated earring:

2- 1.5 inch sterling silver ball ended head pin

2- 8mm round 5000 Padparadscha Swarovski® crystal bead

2- silver plated earring dangle of chain links, snipping one link chain shorter than the other

4- Sterling silver 10mm open wire Bali bead caps

1- Button style earring with light rose SwarovskiŽ crystal bead

1- 1.5 inch silver plated flat ended head pin. This is used to make an eyepin into which I placed the top ends of the two link chains, passed the straight part of the head pin through the silver plated ball shaped bead cap, snip this headpin to shorten it, and then used needle nose pliers to make a double turned eyepin at the top of the snipped headpin.

1- 4mm silver plated open jumpring. When opened, I put this jumpring through the double turned eyepin of the headpin and the hole of the button style earring. I worked carefully closing this open jumpring to ensure it was well closed. I don't want to have a jumpring open and my losing any of these dangles because of the weight plus the costs of using sterling silver bead caps and the 8mm Swarovski® crystal bead.
